[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide excess workers compensation insurance program
- Claim Administration: Claim administration is provided by a Third-Party Administrator, is responsible for reporting claims to the Excess Workers Compensation Insurance Company based Insurance Policy Guidelines. These include required claim reporting for (a) designated major injuries, diseases, disabilities, or multi-person accidents, (b) claims where costs exceed or will likely exceed 50% of the self-insured retention, and (c) reopened claim that might involve the insurance company’s limits,
- Third Party Administrator: The TPA services are also out for bid this year. Any change in the current TPA or program should not impact the Excess Workers Compensation
- Claim Management and Processes: When an employee sustains a work-related injury, the worker’s compensation process is designed to: 1) help the employee understand the process and receive the prompt medical care, 2) minimize the impact on the employee’s ability to work, and 3) help reduce any disruption this injury may have on the employee’s life,
- Workers Compensation Process: It is the injured employee’s responsibility to report the incident to the employee’s supervisor as soon as possible after the injury/accident occurs,
- Safety Prevention and Awareness: The District’s Safety/Workers’ Compensation Coordinator is responsible for managing both frequency and severity of claims as well as program costs. The position serves as liaison with our third-party claim administrator, designated medical facilities, district safety administrators, supervisors, and Human Resources,
- Medical Management: workers’ compensation laws, injured employees are treated by a designated
occupational medicine facility,
- Claims Management: to have work-related injury claims reported within 24 hours or as soon as possible after the injury. Workers’ Compensation claims are filed online to the school district’s ThirdParty Administrator by the school/location designated Safety Administrator.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than May 10, 2021.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
