[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide billing and collection services for an annual average of 16,000 patient transports and nontrans port services by the city, and provide electronic and system claim filing for all self-pay and third-party payers, including but not limited to:
a. Commercial insurance
b. Medicare
c. Medicaid
d. Medicare supplements
e. Workers' compensation
f. Personal injury protection
g. Veteran 's administration and tri-care
- The contractor shall be responsible for all pre-billing review, verification for proper documentation, insurance information, appropriate patient signatures and data entry from the agency.
- The contractor shall receive and keep on file an "Explanation of Benefits" (EOB), and all documents associated with the billing process. This includes but is not limited to documentation for Medicare, Medicaid, and all other insurance providers. The contractor shall be responsible for the posting of payments to the appropriate patient account, updating insurance information on individual patient accounts, insurance claim processing and general patient account notations.
(2) Contract term will be one year.
