[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide self-administered workers compensation claims program management review services.
1. Interview current Workers’ Compensation Unit leadership, staff and stakeholders to gain an understanding of the City’s current processes and program successes, challenges, and concerns.
2. Assess and identify tangible and intangible benefits of:
a. Maintaining a self-administered claims program
b. Fully or partially transitioning to a third party administered claims program with in-house program oversight
3. Analyze and develop recommendations for City staffing levels and logistical needs:
a. For maintaining a self-administered claims program
b. For fully or partially converting to a third party administer for claims handling with in-house oversight
4. Develop a five-year cost projection for City staffing and logistical costs for:
a. Maintaining a self-administered claims program with any recommended changes to staffing, systems or other logistical needs
b. Transitioning to a third party administered claims program with in-house program oversight.
5. Meet with the City to discuss draft findings and recommendations.
6. Provide a final written report of findings and recommendations.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than March 10, 2023.
