[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide police and fire injured on duty claims administration service to
- Injured on duty administration.
- Secure third-party administration, case management, and claims monitoring for injured on duty claims for active employees.
- Receipt, processing, filing and maintenance of all claims-related forms, reports and notices as required and as needed for controlling losses; verification of all medical billings and determination of state authorized rates for payment; preparation and submission of  invoices from medical providers for review and issuance of payment by the city; timely follow-up with physicians and claimants and investigation of cases, when necessary, to reduce exposure and costs; recommendations of appropriate salary payments for final decision by the city.
- Legal Services - The service provider will offer education and training on interpretation and application of related legislation, various procedures, and case law.  The service provider will assist in the representation of the City in administrative or legal proceedings relating to injured on duty claims.
(2) The contract period will be for one year.
