[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide workers compensation third party administration and managed care services.
- 1,707 full-time employees in administrative, faculty or general office positions
- 508 part-time employees in administrative, faculty and other positions
- 1420 student employees and graduate assistants
• All aspects of workers compensation claims adjusting, including but not limited to reviewing and accepting claims, approving claim payments, filing forms required by law, coordinating legal defense counsel, and securing independent medical examinations, surveillance and other related services.
• Receipt and review of First Report of Injury (IA-1)
• Determination of claim compensability
• Establishment of reserves per claim
• Coordination of claim settlements
• Referrals for Independent Medical Exams
• Disability assessment and ratings
• Wage and income verification as necessary
• Issuance of benefit payments to eligible claimants
• Issuance of vendor/provider payments
• Information retention/reports/analysis
• Check printing and mailing.
• Specialized customer service based on individual University needs.
• Subrogation expertise to ensure recoveries are obtained when another party is liable for an injury.
• Safety and health consulting expertise to assist agencies to reduce workplace injuries and mitigate resulting costs.
• Access to a statewide health care provider network that offers discounts below the established workers’ compensation fee schedule.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than March 21, 2023.
(3) The contract period will be for three years.
