[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide medical malpractice claims management services.
- The foundation of the claims management program is the timely investigation and development of defense and disposition strategies, as early as possible in the litigation process. the efficient resolution of a claim in the most cost-effective manner possible is the goal of this program
- Maintaining an on-line claims database that can track all meaningful data related to a claim, and is accessible by the CLD, including:
- Investigation of incidents and claims, including reviews of facility medical records and interviews with key involved personnel;
- Following for litigation reports from outside counsel;
- Receiving and summarizing litigation reports;
- Ensuring that defense counsel follows the defense counsel guidelines, meeting timelines and date for key deliverables;
- Assisting with the retention of medical and economic experts;
- Assisting with the development of a case management plan as well as the development of the defense theory; and,
- Evaluation of liability, exposure and potential resolution strategies
- Assistance with capturing the data required by the department of financial services for the captive insurance company as well as providing the management and actuarial services needed for the captive management.
(2) A mandatory pre-proposal conference call will be held on November 6,2023.
(3) All question must be submitted no later than November 13, 2023.
