[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide workers compensation consulting and appeals support services to provide claims appeals and claims management support to the city on an as and when required basis.
- Monitor claim decisions.
- Identify and discuss with the city when a protested claim is accepted by agency in order to determine whether or not to pursue a request for reconsideration, review or appeal.
- Provide expert advice to the city when requested on decisions related to the protested claims or agency policies relating to claims and the acceptance of claims by agency.
- Conduct follow up calls and written correspondence to agency regarding the city’s concerns regarding claims, including relief of cost.
- Submit on behalf of the city respectful, non-discriminatory and fact-based submissions and avoid language implying blame or judgement toward the worker and the city’s employees or any members of the case team.
- Prepare and present reconsideration, review and appeal submissions to the WSBC Review Division and agency.
- Communicate with the city. If advantageous, the consultant and the city will conduct file reviews at regularly scheduled intervals.
- Advise the city on any changes to legislation or policies that may impact the city.
(2) Vendor have to registered on Issuing Authority website in order to download unwatermarked RFP.
